About

Principal Designer Maureen Ursino originally founded Ursino Interiors in 2016 as a side business alongside completing her Master of Arts in Interior Design from the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at The George Washington University. Upon graduating, she worked for a commercial architecture firm designing spaces for Fortune 500 companies. In 2018, Maureen followed her passion for designing residential spaces, and the emotional connection that comes from helping clients turn a house into a home, and launched Ursino Interiors into a full-service studio in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
Originally beginning as a studio in the guest bedroom of her home, Maureen has quickly built Ursino Interiors into a nationally recognized firm with work published in House Beautiful, Vogue Living, 1st Dibs Introspective, WSJ, and LUXE.

In addition to her interior design qualifications, Maureen has ten years of previous experience as a management consultant at top-tier firms. A New York native, Maureen now lives in New Jersey with her husband and two young children.

Philosophy

An authentic home involves countless intentional choices. Our studio strives to design homes that evoke a sense of intimate familiarity, laying the groundwork for soulful spaces that are reflective of the people who live in them. With a deep passion for working with natural materials rooted in simplicity, we work carefully to achieve balance between traditional and modern elements, thoughtfully examining the push and pull of the historic and contemporary, to arrive at finished spaces that continue to reveal themselves after our work is complete - spaces intended to slowly age, the same way families do. We firmly believe these are the key factors that allow for a home to provide you with lasting memories.
